It first opened in 1996 to sell the real dairy ice cream which is made on the farm from milk from our own dairy herd.
The ice cream has won many awards over the years in the national ice cream competitions organised by the Ice Cream Alliance, the governing body of ice cream manufacturers.
Since the initial opening a tearoom was added in 1998 and further expanded in 2001.
A larger kitchen and an in house bakery has since been added.
The tearoom has an extensive menu to suit all tastes, from snacks to three course meals.All the meals are freshly prepared from local produce and a specials board changes daily. Especially popular are our Sunday lunches and booking is essential. All the desserts and cakes are made in our own bakery, from tray bakes and fruit pies to “forget the waist line” cream cakes.
A large variety of flavours of ice cream are offered, made with ingredients imported from Italy, together with a selection of sorbets.
There are also a wide selection of ice cream sundaes to choose from.
In the shop you will find are variety of biscuits, sweets, preserves and chutneys, some made locally together with a range of gift ideas.
